Here's what was inside:
1 Large Frozen Banana
1 c. Unsweet Vanilla Almond Milk
2 tbsp. Peanut Butter
1 tbsp. Chia Seeds
1 scoop Protein Powder (unflavored)
The smoothie was very delicious, but tasted NOTHING like the In-Training. I think I know their secret... put like 27 tablespoons of peanut butter. Now, not only does it taste magical, but it contains 2,565 calories just from peanut butter. (I actually did the math. Check me on it.)
Therefore, my meager 2 tablespoons just wasn't going to cut it for my taste-buds.
I think if I were making this again I would definitely use plain soy milk or plain unsweet almond milk, because I didn't like how the vanilla flavor interfered with my banana-pb combo. And of course, add a little more peanut butter :)
Random side note: Last night I met with a good friend for frozen yogurt and they were out of peanut butter yogurt. I was heart broken. I still got an enormous bucket of chocolate, which was a mistake. I should have just settled for plain and put fruit on top. If anyone is reading this who owns a froyo store, please go ahead and close your shop if you're out of peanut butter. I don't want to waste my time.
Oh, and if you read last night's post: I decided on running over spinning. Touch choice.
Although I do love peanut butter frozen yogurt, I think I would have been okay with the chocolate and just drizzling peanut butter on top. =) I saw a recipe on pinterest and thought of you. It was for an avacado and sweet potato sandwich:
