I woke up this morning, after a lovely 10.5 hour sleep, and went on a 6.55 mile run. (I chose that distance because I wanted to run a 1/4th of a marathon...) I felt really great the whole time, which was really encouraging.
So the past couple of days I feel like I have eaten so unhealthy. I still have my regular green smoothies for breakfast, my delicious avocado sandwich for lunch, yada yada yada. BUT, for the second half of this week I have been devouring desserts. I have already had a good sized portion of chocolate banana froyo, as well as 4 homemade chocolate dipped peanut butter balls today, and it is only 5:00pm, meaning I'll probably end up eating more after dinner. I hope this stops before it becomes a problem...
So the homemade chocolate dipped pb balls are truly phenomenal. Don't make them unless you intend to eat the whole batch, because they are insanely addicting. They are a recipe from my cousin, which can be found here on her blog.
Enough about my crazy obsession with sweets. My ProCompression socks came in the mail today!! Yay! I found them off of everyone's favorite runner blog, SkinnyRunner, because she was advertising that they were 50% off. Regularly these bad boys are $50! That is way too much for socks... but I splurged because they were on sale for $25.
I haven't decided if they are worth it yet. I am definitely digging the color, but let's see how effective they actually are...
Have you ever tried to take a picture of your own foot...? It obviously looks really awkward, as I have so kindly demonstrated with my pictures.
